I like what you've done here, a lot of nice splash screens. I do have a few criticisms though, in some of the pictures it looks like you've squeezed them in a bit to fit the proportions, it makes it looks odd, I would prefer if you kept the original image proportions, and either put black bars on the top and bottom, or crop off the sides. Also, some of the lighter images make it hard to read the menu text, perhaps you could either change the color of the text, or darken the area behind the text so it's easier to see.

I agree with Trigger but would like to add that you need to get some better fonts. I hate all of the fonts you decided to use for the Day of Defeat title. They are nice splashes dont get me wrong but fonts either make or break things and in this case it broke it.

I'd gladly use them, if they wouldnt have that text on them. :kitty: It's just that the font doesnt fit. Make it smaller, and use a more "modern font" place it in a corner, like the right corner.

I didnt want the font to be more "eye-catching" than the pic itself. Thats why I went w/ a classic style font on most of them. I'm sure when the Mona Lisa was unvailed, people complained that she didnt have any eyebrows. And today its priceless (although I think 5 dollars is high for the poster).:sheep: :kitty: :sheep:

Question: Why do you add "Day of Defeat" to each splash? Steam inserts that anyways. It looks kinda weird having it say "Day of Defeat" twice.

I normaly zip everything (since not everyone has WinRAR) but in this case the zip file is 19.2 MB (12 MB w/ WinRAR). Is 19 MB too big for DoDec? And if not, I'd rather send it over a instant messenger than host it on Comcast cause I dont have that much room on my account.

...good pack but some of your choices raise my eyebrows. Who would want a man with his arm blown off on their splash screen.

Poor taste there, but otherwise pretty good.

I just threw it in there to offer more of a selection. Some people like that kind of *movie* gore. A better question is: why would someone wanna download a video of a hostage's head being cut off?

ummm... decapitated means "head taken off", an arm cannot be decapitated since it has no head. Roots of the word are "de" which means former, or no longer. "Cap" or "capitate" comes from the latin word for head. So the word "decapitate" means "no longer with head" or "to lose ones head".
