Sorry, but I don't like how the map looks. Looks like a 3.1 map. The layout and gameplay may be great, but the textures are ugly. I hope you retexture it with better textures in b4.

I like the concept, but the textures do look a bit wierd. That's hardly a deal breaker though, if the gameplay's good.

I like that paratrooper sprite too.

thats better, now i know what u think is wrong with it instead of "it looks sh*t"

are there any specific textures that look ugly?

alot of the textures are from official maps.

and i will brighten it up for b4

I did a quick run thru and it looks interesting. I really like the para drop sequence.

My only concern is that there are a lot of really narrow corridors that might create chokepoints.

This should be good map for small numbers of players.

yeah the treeline or 'walls' whatever is surrounding the outside, at least from the pics dosn't look quite right. It does resemble a 3.1 map, but it does seem to have a cool atmosphere. Perhaps brighten the map as you said (not daytime, night is cool, just a little brighter) and improve on the outdoor boundaries. It's a good lookin map!

Maxey your attitude doesnt belong here. You cant just call someone's map sh*t by looking the screenshots. Someone has worked on that map hours, months or even years and then you come and ruin everything.

Please keep the discussion clean and constructive. You can always comment on the map and give some advices how to improve parts of the map.

First of all:

The paratroop thing really is great. Looks good too mate.

Buuut... the guys are right, those textures could use some more work.

The treeline you made (forest), could use some more work too, maybe change it to a wall, with a { treeline texture behind it. Just to let it look better. Or add leafs at the top of the forest brush. The plain "forest" texture from dod_forest, is kinda boring without any details.

Looks like a good start, but the lightning seems a bit too dark, and you have gotta purple skybox, but no purple lightning in yer map. So the map itself doesnt match yer skybox very well.

hey well he basicng this off of the movie right and as i recall the axis in the movie didnt shoot a 88 but it was years since i seen it.

and and i guess i could of told u this erly nomad that the textures could use a bit of work since i was probaly one the the frist the see it :) and play it :) abd the opaing jump is alsom map but maby u can make it more realistic? maby with some thing that sack u around and stuff?

also is there away so when u jump out and your falling u dont here the player hiting the thing that he hits? u know what i mean?oh and in the box thats there right now (NOT THE PLAIN that u fixed up that i sent u) but the othere thing if u jump out the wrong door u die wtf is up with that?

what the :vader::vader::vader::vader:. NOMAD THIS is amazing. i had no clue the hl engine could handle this drop in sequence. i declare this map with the best atmosphere award. i could see this map in a movie, drop in and take the mansion. i only got to test it alone, but with some touch ups and other people, this map can be great.

From what i can see from the video, the dropping scene looks
wery nice!
Sounds like you have added some new sounds and an animasion
to, it looks and sounds great!
But like stated earlier, the map or at least the forrest "edges"
needs some changes, I'm not a good mapper so I cant suggest
anything but maybe you could get someone to help touch it
up some.
The map would be a great new addition to dod.

hmm, para_hedgerow c47 jump sequence, not too shabby.

It'd be wicked cool if you could actually get someone to make a c47 model, rather than the brush-based one your currently using.
