some new garand anims

09-06-2004, 01:33 PM
heya, these are pretty old.
I did them about a month ago now, i think, but im pretty sure they've never been released here. Editor wants to kill me, so here they are. Enjoy, the credits are in the zip.

i should also note, vunsunta made his garand sounds specifically for these animations, and they're quite good, so i changed the title of the thread for him :p
oh man carrots :carrot: :carrot: is this forum awesome or what?

Very Nice. Now I have to find some way to get this on to My High res No FOV Garand with sling.

Not really a fan of that reload however.

What Program do you use to do animations?

09-07-2004, 03:55 PM
Hey I like em, reload and all, one thing about the DoD stuff is that the bullets are never the correct size so like in most animations it looks like they are toys.
Great animations keep it up

nice to see you around jen. These anims are a nice change, and its good to see new ones because we dont get too many around here.

i really like the puch one, puts in a little comedy and splinters skin, i was using on his original release and now using on this. excellent, hope we see some more :)

[edit] ahh, i just re-origined it to look a little more like the original, very nice.

I like the punch, it's pretty funny. The sounds are really good, gives the Garand a much needed punch. Will check out the others as time goes on. Really good job!

Can you say out of date? *sigh*

monkeh, i used your original rar and zipped it cuz not many people have winrar.. for whatever reason.

i use max to animate. I had to use 6 for this so i could get into reactor and use a ridgid bodies collection so i could do a physics simulation on the strap

Why is Editor and evil bashtid all of a sudden? :p

Very nice anims, expecially the punch, nothing like punching people in the nads.

the punch is a very nice touch indeed.

big fan of your m4a1 animations. id be a lier if i didnt say i was envious. do you have professional training? those animations are smooth

09-08-2004, 04:56 PM
I fell in love with Jennifer.

09-08-2004, 05:35 PM
Awesome job Jen, I can only complain that the angle and distance the right hand is at when the animation reloads makes the general area around the thumb seem absurdly huge, but it's just perspective and not that big of a deal since you only see it for a few seconds.

thx everyone
i use max to animate. I had to run a reactor physics simulation with a ridgid hard body collection to do that strap. It sucked years out of my life :carrot: :PARROT: .
klown i have seen some of your animations and they are pretty neat, same for sushi. You should both learn max sometime, msn or aim me sometime and ill help you guys out.

also editor told me this had already been released and i had no idea, so im going to blame monkeh :carrot:

/e am i retarded? I already said that stuff about the stupid strap. No professional training i am definitely not that good. More excuses to use carrots though :carrot:

You mean the part that can easily be changed and has no real relation to what Jenn is releasing? :D
