Yea its an M2 Carbine...
M2es were experimental pimped up versions of the standard M1, only with select fire and a 30-round bananna clip. They were used widely in Korea, by the Rangers in Europe during WWII, and also by the Marines a little during WWII.
REALLY cool weapon in my opinion .

Owning one of these, I can tell you that the metal ventilation is not present on the 'inside' of the 'sight ridge' down the guard. This is the case in both the Iver Johnson Enforcer model and the Universal/Iver Johnson aftermarket M1 Carbine (Of which I both own)
