I haven't mapped in quite a few months, now that 1.0 is out i have decided to start again due to all the new goodies, i have hammer 3.4 now (i hear 3.5 is buggy) and now i need to know which zoners tools support hints and nulls...

also can you paste a small format to setting up a batch compiler...i sorta forgot how to set 1 up, like the lines of what to execute....blah you know what i mean :D

im planning to continue mapping my map dod_brucke (bridge in german) it is a french town occupied by germans and allied paratroopers are dropped in from the other side of town and their objective is to cross the bridge and capture the axis bunker/stronghold so that allied troops can advance further through france

the axis objective is to defend the bridge at all costs and prevent allied forces from capturing your bunker/stronghold, mortars are in plentiful supply, so rain those shells free to the other side of town

tell me if that sounds alright...

i might just finish this map fast and get it over with because it has been in development for a while and i must have new projects

Xerents mapping files thread at the top contains a link to the custom build of zoners that supports the null texture. Also, get 3.5, I have it myself, it works great, and the model-rendering support alone makes it worth it. As for batch files, the mapping faq thread at the top (also posted by xerent) contains a link to a very nifty and well-documented GUI batch compiler that no mapper should be without.

also you should maybe give your map a french name if it is set in a french location.
