maybe you could get someone to extrude this section upwards a bit, kind of looks ugly when skinned like that where there is no change in height

Sp|inter looks better than the first 1 But u need holes in the barrel and the barrel needs 2 be darker.

It would also be cool if u could make the hands look really real like dirty not clean LOL.

and some cool animations like when ur just looking not firing have normal animation when firing have him looking down the sites.

Also make the over heat really smokey.

BTW ur new reanimated mg34 looks good but when firing looks silly.

use the reload animations from the new mg34 with the mg42.

i thought it would be a good idea to extrude where lagtron suggested, i allways hated that on the mg42 models.

IMO it does need just 2 - 3 more bullets

Great skin Splinter, although I think the barrel needs to be a tad darker to match the rest

Looks good, but the color difference on the barrel does look a little odd. And I don't know if this is your department or not, but some more bullets on the belt would make it look a lot better imo. The constant state of "I have 10 shots left" detract from the overall beauty of it all. Oh well, even if you didn't change a thing I'd still use it.:PARROT:

splinter u might want to add more bullets to the hand fed thing so they go to the bottem of the screen insted of havein a mg that fires 250 rounds but yet only shows 10 lol nice work any way if u could fix that bullet hand fed thing it would be great :D

This came up in the first release, and as far as I remember that is the same amount as the default model, it's just the different origins...

Guys he did before release a different oring model for this gun, so maybe he will again. But I dont see why non of you could just add more bullets to the gun. To my knowledge splinter just does skins and very few anims, but he might model and I might be wrong.

It looks really stupid how an MG42 can magically fire 250 bullets when there are only 8 on the belt. Maybe you could position the hand so the bottom of the last bullet is off the screen?

You could try thinking about the different origins and how it affects the POV of the model? :confused:

You know easy it is to reorigin with Jed's HLMV? Anyone can do it, takes me about 2 seconds. :p

The textures are amazing but some people are not loving the new Origin... no, it doesn't mean you have to change it, have it how you want but when packing the MG42 just throw in a little very nice small file called the reference.smd and zip it up, that way everyone could choose the origin they want, they could edit the model without fixing the uv maps again, Fov/Defov or w/e... is it such a big request ?

I don't understand why people would make a high poly weapon with very nice skins and neglect that area so much. It's one of the most prominent areas you can see in game-
