My Enfield V2 with Spike Bayonet. Comes with FOV and non-FOV models. Yes, you can see the Spike Bayo witht the FOVed one, its sticking out just above your rifle :).

FOV is Field of View. When you add FOV, you distort the weapon WAAAAAAY out of proportion so you can see certain parts. I dislike FOV, it just dosent seem right, but I did it anyway one the FOVed model for once :).

The FOV'ed one just looks fuzzier, and twisted further to the left.

Captain Dan

Its not twisted, i just had to SEVERELY increase the length of the bayonet in order for you to be able to see it ingame. Peeps were complaining about this in the WIP thread :(.

EDIT: The "fuzziness" just might be the picture.

Great model dude!, I dont like the origin, but ill change it myself.....

Is it easy to De-FOV a model??

Captain Dan

Yea all you need to do is to take all of the stuff thats blown out of proportion and shrink it down to a size you like :) (You need Milkshape to do it ;)).

HLMV is just for testing origins ;)

Captain Dan, from what I've tried FOVing in ms3d it's rather hard. How did you do it? When I tried I took a section of polygons, scaled them up and then moved them (and anything beyond them) so they were in line - like this \/ - with the rest of the gun and then did the same further along the gun.

On the luger I did (its the RO one with FOV so it looks like its long barreled) I also had to rotate the end of the barrel so it looked in right angles to the barrel in 1st person.

Trial and error, my friend, trial and error ;).

Be sure to watch out for that "sliding texture" thing too :).

Looks pretty sweet. Always quality work.

Oh, and just a friendly reminder to all of you, you don't need to include your sig with every post you make. There is an option to disable it.

I disabled them for every subsequent post after the first of each of yours. Keeps things alot cleaner, thanks guys.

Mr. T: Most folks leave their sigs on because its easier to identify who is posting by their image then name. Pictures are easier to associate with than words.

You're right about it clogging up the thread though, so I guess its a double edged sword.

GJ on the enfield, CD.

I know its easier to identify, but for the 7 people in this thread, there are 16 sigs posted for between them.

Take the first 6 posts in this thread for example: 6 sigs between 2 people, all in a relatively short period.

See what I mean? I'm not saying you have to, nor is it frowned upon. Just a reminder.

Anyways, enough derailing on by me.

hey, this enfield looks good, but i guess there is a small bug thats really annoying: when u shoot the first time and the player re***** the gun and loads in the new bullet, the shell is clipping through the bolt (dont know the english word, u know the moving part that closes the chamber, where the firingpin is inside) it looks really odd, could u plz fix it, dan?

or is it because i play on 800x600 at this time to see if my old machine gets some more fps (actually i didnt see any change in fps from 1024x768 to 600x600...)?

Captain Dan

I dont think its clipping, it appears to me like it is supposed to do that, as when you fire, the bullet leaves the chamber and is no longer there :p. But if it is a bug, take it up with Rusty, because thats who did the main body of the Enfield aside from Brutal, who reskinned it .

the bullet doesnt leave the chamber, i talk about the new bullet, itīs clipping!
look at this picture to see what i mean:

http://mitglied.lycos.de/rkruse86/klippz0rz.JPG

what annoys me is that the bullet doesnt disappear when the idle animation starts again ingame, the damn bullet keeps staying...

Odd....

Well, take it up with Rusty, because I did not make this model (Rusty did), I just hacked some stuff onto it because I like it so much :).

Me: "go, lassie, find rusty! where is rusty, lassie? where is rusty? now search for him, go!"
Lassie: "Wuff, Wuff! sniff sniff sniff..." (runs away to find rusty) :dog:
