I was sent this by email, and the sender didn't know and the readme didn't say who made it, but it is sexy (Anims need work, but the skin =:carrot:

Seems like the nicest katana I've seen modelled... Never seen it before, though.

With out Biker Gloves CS would be nothing... I bet if DOD started using Biker Gloves, people would come from CS by the thousands
:dog:
(But in CS is there any model with those sleeves?)
So, does anyonewant to reskin this to have "normal" hands?

It looks like a TS model (The Specialists) That mod uses Katanas constantly as one of its main weapons.

Yeah, that looks like it is an edited version of the DC katana.

Jigen. Lupin the 3rd. Old animé classic. It's all about style over substance.
Like Equilibrium.
But seventiesified.

on a side note.. that aint a fighting katana.. thats a ceremonial katana... used for harikiri (suicide) and offical samurai things...
its wrong to fight with that.. samurais would rather fight with their hands instead of using ceremonial katanas

umm, no , the tanto or the short sword was used for harikiri, just cause it has a pretty handle doesnt mean it is ceremonial sword.

Harikiri means "Belly-Cut" (verb- kiru, noun-kiri), and is the action performed by the guy dying during a Seppuku ceremony. Usualy they both refer to the same thing, and some say it is the same, but, the 2nd guy can perform in a Seppuku and not die (he does not perform the Hariki)

Here is a picture of a Seppuku:

Notice the 2nd Samurai has a 2nd sword handle in his belt, that is the (tanto or yari, I don't remeber the diff, (4THIDUSA) SSG said tanto, I think he might be right). The Samurai carried both, similar to how we have sidearms, as a secondary weapon. I can not be 100% sure, but I think the Samurai used their own weapons to perform Harikiri.
In any case, it looks cool in game and that isn't a real Samurai sword, just a bunch of computer pixels... 8p

wlel yea.. its still ceremonial... the blade is too bent to be a fighting sword = the handle has thise little spikes and bumbs etc on it.. would make itvery uncomfy to use when youre fighting

sigh, the way those swords are forged, most of them naturally shape that way, it will cut thru multiple bodies, that was one way they tested the blades. I say it again, the handle being pretty does not mean ceremonial, the designs and images on the handle and tang, even though they look "bumpy" it is quite comfortable in the hand

I can not find any ref pics of a cerimonial sword, being used in a cerimony, that looks any different than the swords they use normaly. All I can find are regular katanas, or battle katanas being used in cerimonies. Maybe there is a different cerimony than the Seppuku you are refering to. If you could post a pic of the kind of sword you are reffering to I would be very appreciative, ty in advance ;)
