New version of the k98 that i started on last night. Based of poly's and brutal's k-98. Will come with a scoped version and peewees.
Metal may be darkend over time.

I agree in darkening the metal some.

I like the way the metal and wood blend in that current screenshot. Some darkening might be better, but it looks good as is, IMO.

Looks good, but there seems to be an odd dark patch where the stock meets the rest of the gun.
Darken the metal.

How can i make the skin look sharper, ive done all that i could. Its the mesh that blurs it out.

When people say darker, I think they mean your original metal. But hey, thats what they are used to. I like this one too. Its nice and light. A big change and its not a bad one!!

It aint his fault, its whoever animated it's fault :p.
Anyways, people DO hold rifles like that, but it looks a bit too squiggly (probably because of whoever animated it bent the wrist a bit too much :D), but its cool otherwise :cool:.

Well Grain, this kar model has already been split up by Silverghost.
I think thats not the problem, the problem is the textures arent even, some are 504x512, 5x12x504 and so on, i think that's whats causing the bluryness. I'll resize them when im done with the skin. :)
One more sharpen filter and my textures will look look a blob of colors. :p

looks sweet, and uh sharpen filter isn't always your friend, after 2 times using it, you should always stop ^^
cuz red/green/yellow/blue dots on the metal isnt funny ^^

thats why you use unsharp mask
for those 512x504 and whatnot textures. you gotta use a certain studiomdl when compiling.
you probably already know that though.

One more sharpen filter and my textures will look look a blob of colors. :p Well perhaps instead of going with a 512x512 use a 256x1024. That will fit the shape of the wood(long and skinny)much better than a perfect square would.

you wouldnt happen to have a full glove texture would you? without the fingers exposed?
Fingers look way too pink.
The hands look quite featureless imo, maybe if you give them a few crease marks or blemishes they might look nicer, loving the kar tho, very nice.

But splinter, no k98's have serial number markings right on their receivers, I don't know how noticable this is in game though on this model.(erm, i mean serial numbers were on receivers, but not on the very top)
