MG-42 Muzzle Flash.
By Cs42886

INTRO:
This is a new MG-42 muzzle flash that I made for Day of Defeat.

COMMENTS:
This sprite didn't take too long to make which is why it doesn't look incredible however, its still a nice relpacement sprite for those of you who like to customize DOD. I will be working on a new one in the future. This zip also contains a different muzzle flash sprite for regular weapons. I included it because the MG-42 sprite looks alot better with it installed. It is not required that you install "muzzleflash2" for the MG-42 sprite towork properly.

INSTALLATION:
All you need to do is unzip the files into your DOD/Sprites folder. There should be no need to overwrite any files unless you already have other muzzle flash sprites installed.

THANKS:
I would like to thank the DOD team and the DOD community.

Could you make it bigger and more badass?

It seems like a...um....girly.....MG-42...

LOL.

As Arnold said: "A bunch of girly men"

But it IS a good sprite. Just needs more "RAWR I CAN KILL ANYTHING RAMBO OR DEPLOYED!" to it. :)

Needs to be larger and thicker. As Brenden said it does look a bit girly compared to the gun it's self.

Keep the four, but make them thicker, wider.

All of those flashes are awesome, except maybe the first.

What about a flash, for a different project, where it came out like a little cone of fire instead of in prongs? Just an idea...

The mg42 muzzle flash looked more like the forks... but less flane unless your firing blanks.

This one looks like a ninja star.

Yeah, I'd drop the ninja star shape if I were you. The shape of the muzzle flash in the first one is pretty good, it only needs to be thicker, imho.

Well personally I would rather have more SMOKE for my muzzle flash than just flash, as in broad daylight you usually dont see a big flame shooting out of the gun.

Butttt, since that wont happen :P I agree with the suggestion of fatter and bigger. This aint no scrawney flash, this is a SUMO wrestler flash :)
