[WIP] dod_industrie

hey guys, its way to early going to be flashing some screenshots of this map around but im in 2 minds whether or not to actually finnish this map, im pretty noob @ mapping so dont expect much but i thought mebe some people could come up with some suggestions to make this map better and please keep in mind it is a VERY simple layout and no lighting yet, the fade lights you dosee were just tests but i thought meh why not post a few screenies for the above reasons any and all critticism is very welcome.

i know this map looks very plain and tbh it is - i was planning to do some major rubble work on the streets ect but im afraid im not good with advanced brushwork so i obviously have to learn :P if there is decent feedback i will continue if not i will put this with the other 6-7 maps ive never finnished because i never think they are good anough and i rekon its probably the case :P

yes does look alot like flugplatz, but that doesent matter that
much, but as u say it's a bit plain, try to get some more
details in there, less open aerias.
But dont give up on it, it still might be worked into something good though...

i can see the pics, definately flug inspired, but thats not bad. maybe you can even improve on some of the aspects flug had going.. anyways, i agree it will look better with proper lighting, cant really say much more as there isnt much there.. needs more stuff ;)

whats the objectives? where are the flags? those are my main questions, and what is it based around?

neutrino try right clicking the link and 'save as' see if you can save them on your system.

well the objectives i was thinking basic flag map, 1 2 man flag in the closed docking bay in the big factory, perhaps have that door destructable via tnt also but you can access the area via the other loading docks another 2 man flag somewhere around that random building and you know the rest :>

since reading this thread i came up with an idea, ill see if i can put it to good use but it might be very little textures as is allready the case :D

You sir are an idiot who makes idiotic assumptions. Seriously, i cannot see the pictures. and how would this cause any problems anyway? I even asked a few people who responded to this thread if they could upload the pictures to another host so I could see them. Random, dont listen to this clown.

edit: sorry for my cruel critique. couldn't resist.

But yea, there's some original bits like the stone textures from dod_jadj and the tiles of dod_vicenza. I think for ambience, use early morning or evening sunset would be better for a change. Foggy stormy rain would be nice too, with rickety ambience.

nah i appreciate your critticism, realisticly i dont think ill finnish this map, theres just to many mistakes instead i think i might re-mapp it, not sure yet.
