item placement for downloaded stuff

hey i downloaded some custom flags and crosshairs but i dont know where to put it i tried like 5 times but nothing worked and i also tried to search for the file but it shows up with nothing can any1 help me?

put it in sprites folder..

for the custom flag model, put it the dod/models folder.

for the custom xhair, put it in the [dod/sprites folder. However , you do need to go in game and type in "cl_xhair_style (place a number from 1 to 16 here without the ()'s)
