Just to inform you all im currently working on a pack which replaces all the new 1.0 Gun selection pictures with some real world war two photos. Most of them have been taken from the old 3.1 mod but i just thought i'd convert it over as i prefer it. I also added the name of each gun onto the picture. Sadly not with any fancy writing, i dont own paintshop pro so it may look pretty basic.

Hmm one last thing. Unlike old 3.1 para maps these pictures dont change from paratroopers to ordinary GI's depending on what map youre on. Thats also likewise for the German Fallshcirmjager. Sorry i dont have the kind of skill required to do that. So for now its just a selection of pictures which replace the new ones. If anyone can mod it to do so that would be great.

Heres afew screenshots so far, i'd be pleased if you could tell me whether it looks better with or without the name of the gun written on it or if it looks crap fullstop.

Yea you get some nice fonts for this, it would turn out quite nice. Maybe find a better tommy picture though, hell you could always take a pic from spr and make it black and white if need be. Also ask around for the para things, i'm sure someone here could tell you what to do don't let this excellent idea fade away man.

....n e chance u could get DIFFERENT WWII pics.instead of the beta 3.1 ones....We've all seen them tons of times when we played beta 3.1 ......I like ur idea though...just try 2 get new pics

Hmm possibly in the future mate but for now ill just be mainly doing the 3.1 pics. They're will be afew new ones thrown in they're but few and far between. :)

Sadly not from myself. I just dont have the skill required. I'll release this as an ordinary pack with optional names on them. After that i'll scout around for some one to help mod it into the old 3.1 or 2.0 style menu. What i'd really want is for it to change pictures when you change to a para map. Possibly a pack later on if i can be arsed with a selection of pictures to choose from for each class. ... heres hoping. ;)
