awesome, it's great to see all these models coming out and pumping this forum to life again

Great start DoG and welcome to the MSA forum, i don't like the bolt handle but with this being a WIP thread i guess you will be improving on that. From the look of your work, i'm guessing your not new to game modeling, and was wondering if like me you remove unseen poly's from the finished model. So you can use the poly's saved to add more detail to parts of the model you do see ingame.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work..:).

yea like marzy said, it does look a bit unnatural but im sure smoothed it will look ok.

FOR RIL...I like it. The little knobby thing looks fine haha. As long as its not bulbous and unbelievably large.

The M1903A4 & M1903A3 was made by Remington other models where made by Springfield armorys, you can find ref pic's showing the differences between them here.

hey if u make the no scoped is it posable to have it so when u right click it brings up the sights of the gun but liek magnfyed liek as u were looking though a scope and its the guns sites i dont think its posable but u never now

Ah i saw it on DoD: EC. I thought the scope zoom was a tad too small for my liking. But other than that its nice.

Scoped version only probably, if your lucky i *may* do a version with iron sights for a garand replacement(sounds odd, but once you get used to it, its quite nice :p). Please don't clutter my thread with irrelivant pish.

It works fine, it just looks odd when you fire the garand fast. I've done it before quite some time ago. Don't sh*t on an idea unless you've seen it done.

First nobody was s|-|iting on your idea.
2nd it will look very odd because most of the people fire the garand fast... it's your work anyway, you can do w/e you want but if you don't want to listen to anybody you might aswell not open a WIP thread in the first place, especialy when you come with such an attitude.

I remember it being done,it IS doable.
i dont fire my garand fast like everyone else, because i like the fact of geting 7-8 head shots from takeing my aim,where as most people go thru 2-3 rounds before even hiting anything vital.

But like what was said before,if its not your cup of tea dont use it.
But i will be useing this.

I just wish the garand had more powerful hits,and less ROF,i mean thats why the butt smack was added,so why do we need a semi auto-semi auto?

"the carbine can shoot faster than the tommy with the mwheel exsploit,so whys the garand fire "fast" but not as fast as say the colt handgun?

fact is the garand is not realy semi auto in halflife,its shots are timed just like everything else,id rather have a 1/2 slower garand,but 1/2 more powerfull.

Weapon that won the war my ass,if the garand in ww2 was anything like our garands are in dod,KITTYKITTYKITTYKITTY..hand me a grenade with colt and a knife, im goin' in.
