Certainly a welcome change from the recent rash of soda cans released on this forum, I'll definately be giving this one a try. Any chances of seeing a spike bayonet?

If you had looked in the WiP thread and the topic title you would know they are high poly models.

Great work MaRzY, don't keep us waiting for the new meshes too long.

TOP QUALITY.
Finest Enfields out there, i don't think there is a point working on one at all... that's simply perfect.
I love jed skins, the wood fits the model exactly, the metals are very impressive too and the extra details on the new model makes it a winner, very high poly, very smooth, high res skins... combined with those amazing high resolution para sleeve textures.

Boy.... :D

Man, these are awesome, but there's one thing holding me back from downloading them...there's no peewees.

I understand that if you made some the poly count would be even higher than the v model but I don't care, I like high poly peewees. Release them, PLEASE!!!!!!

Rabid whale already made high poly "pee wees" for the default model with jed's skin....you won't notice the difference (http://www.applyclan.com/downloads/EnfieldPack.zip)

I agree with you Mortar, i also love Jed's skins, it's just the meshes are hacked to pieces, and some parts of the skin are being used more then once for various parts of the model, aswell as being stretched in places. So because of this it would make the model very hard for anyone wishing to try and skin the model very difficult. But as for this release of the model, i also think the model with Jed's skins looks tops, and i think it will be interesting to see if anyone could better the overall look of the model with proper meshes.

Thats really pleasing to know, i've really enjoyed building this model over any other weapon i've made up to now, and because i don't own or have access to the real weapon or drawings, i collected over 50 photo's from of the net from various web sites, most showing the Enfield from different angles, which i studied very hard, so i could get it as close to the real weapon as possible, within a reasonable polycount.

Cpt_Speirs[OwP] check your PM please, and thanks to you and the rest of the Dod Editing Center team for the mirror.

How did you find these, just googled?

Could be useful when trying to create a similarly sexy new skin.

Yeah lots of searching on google, i was thinking of releasing a small hand full with the meshes, for certain parts like the rear sight, bolt etc.

Thanks Dillinger...:).

Excellent model MaRzY, keep up the good work.

Too bad I can't model because my father owns a Garand and a Enfield which at one time had a scope attached (which since my father and my grandfather had not seen it scoped). I think we also have a springfield, but I can't remember if we sold it or not. If we did that sucks.
