When you are out in the field mowing down all the n00bz with j00r L337 Rambo sk3llz, do you ever get realy thirsty, like a thirst only a soda could quench?
Well, now you are in luck. Here today, boys and girls, we introduce to you the new, ready for Steam DOD 1.3 retail... SODA !
As you rampage through the streets and you feel your throat scratching, suck on one of these 3 refreshing flavors. If you are playing the Allied part in the United States Army (or USMC for those smart enough to have the Pacific Theater Conversion) you can down a refreshing 12 oz. Dr.Pepper. After you are done gulping it down (sound effects included) you may use the empty can as a detonation device.
'HOW??!?!?!?' you ask? Simple, we have designed these cans out of C4-Plastiques. You will not need to recycle these bad boys, just hope they don't have a return to sender stamp on them when you launch it into the Axis spawn.
"What about the Britts?" (or Ausies for those smart enough to have the Pacific Theater Conversion)
We haven't forgotten you... we have developed our version of "Lilt" (don't ask, i dont know either, they say it is a UK drink...) From what I hear, it is a Pineapple & Grapefruit FruitCrush, what ever that means, but I am sure you Britts are all about this drink, it is "Totaly Tropical"
Now for the Germans (or Japanese Imperial Army for those smart enough to have the Pacific Theater Conversion), we introduce Mountain Dew's "Live Wire"
It is a shocking new way to drink orange soda (I like it better as a Slurpee from 7-11, but...) Chug one of these then let the empty can fly down the hill into the Allies spawn on dod_Avalanche, its the only way to spam, if this were DOD beta 1.0 you could have had up to 4, but now for balance and gameplay you are restricted to 2 per life (unless an Allie is nice enough to give you one with time left on the fuse)
Any way you drink it, all you need to do is visit one of the handy dandy vending machines in your friendly neighborhood spawn areas. We will be handing out 2 for the infantry, 1 to anyone with a LMG/SMG (don't want the extra can to rattle lose and blow up during your L337 Spray-and-Pray pwnage sessions), but for the MGers and Snipers, your COs say you don't work hard enough to earn the rights to one, all you do is laydown all day while the others are doing all the work capping flags and what-not.
If you are not sure where to find these vending machines, I will give you a screen shot of our can designer, [BB]Pvt.BaDkaRmA158Th, making a purchase:

Notice he already has a Dr.Pepper in his hand and is nice enough to be buying me one, boy was I thursty that round. (My Dual Colts are part of the PTC pack as well as Karma's USMC uniform)
Please open the readme.txt in the zip file to see where to place these files. It is zipped with the proper folders nested to allow you an easy drop in your DayOfDefeat folder (I wish steam made it easier to give direct address like the old days, but they use the email address, so just follow the instructions...)
Download and Enjoy... er, wait, no coke here, Do the Dew?
