Model Problem: How do I prevent this?

in the first pic, dod_merderet0000.jpg, my origins are perfect.

then, in the second pic, dod_merderet0001.jpg, it depicts what happens when I look up, or when I look straight and fire.

I don't want to change my origins.
but it just Cuts In whenever I fire.

what do I do?

tis is what happens when I fire or look up

this happens to me alot when I re-origin. Im pretty sure its just because the weapon is to close to you, that when you fire the recoil takes it off screen. If you move the origins out it always fixes it for me. I dont know what else you could do in order to keep the origins, from experience, all I know is that you need to move the model out in order to prevent that.

HL tries to make it feel more real by adjusting the weapons height and distance depending on how high or low you look.

This effect is hard coded, so all you can do is change the origins.

Yeah sucks, don't it? But don't the shoulder models sit close to the screen, how they avoid that problem?

the first part of the bolt goes through your screen, so you are looking through it... if you adjusted the origin a little bit so it goes away from you, it _should_ fix the problem
