I wish someone would make some gritty tree models... like those trees in that scene in spr where they attack the radio bunker/hill

Also adding some animations to the trees would be nice like a nice suttle swaying in the wind animation maybe . . .

We tried animated trees a few times, and it sorta looked wierd we thought.

Add a little bird model into the tree and put some chirping sounds on them, and make them shootable :D

Looks good. Why not leave it with a white trunk? It could be a Birch Tree.

Thanks for the feedback. I might change the leaves and trunk.

zero could you do a tree but in 2 stages, what i mean is, could you make a big ass tree that is a bit war torn.

this is what i want:

im working on dod_ardennes and i need some snowy whitish trees with out so much leaves or branches on them. also, what would be cool is if you were to make another in 2 sections. a top and a bottom section, and then at the begining of the map, have it explode in 2 (top/bottom) and have like a 10 - 12 foot stump that looks all jagged at the top where it cracked.

would it be possible for someone to annimate that as well, i dont mean will someone do it, i mean is it possible.

because this is how i want my map to start off. the allies are in the forrest and they are getting ready to take Foy (i think thats how you spell it) and at the start of the round, everyone is in their fox hole, i think 2 to a hole is good, with proper cover above them, like branches and what not. then right before the round begins, a whole assload of trees just explode and fall to the ground, im not sure if its possible for the trees to stay there on the ground or if it were to fade away like broken glass.

thats what im looking for, basically, its more of an advanced map for a beginer, but ive got lots of time to make it PERFECT.

any ifno about the exploding trees at the begining would be great

Indeed. I think we really need some cleverly animated trees using same skeletal animation as the player models, then have the trees animate "realistically" rather than having major branches simply pivot at one point. I think RtCW has some trees that animated decently (not great...but at least ok). Then again, they seemed to be "always on" which was unrealistic.

This is a bit off topic but I think it would be cool if someone made a low poly tree/foliage pack for people with lower end computers.

The tree looks cool. It would be nice if it swayed in the wind.....:) :) :) :)
