Anyone wanna give this a shot? I know there's one out there (check DoDEC) but it's too high poly my DoD takes a crap whenever I fire it. I'm sure someone could rework it. PALLEEESSSSEEEEE!!! ANYONE?!

When you change to it or fire it? Should lag whether you fire it or not, if it is due to high polys.

Turn you video card settings(not your dod setting) to high performance.

Tried it and both ways it only slows when I fire.

in your console type particlefx "0" should possibly work fine. Since its most likely the muzzle fire laggin you up.

Done that too. I have it turned on low cause muzzle flashes slow my DoD too much. I play by instinct  Anywho, I'm pretty sure the model is just too highpoly. If anyone's interested it's on the DoD Editing Center in the .30 cal pack.

As already mentioned, if it was too high poly, you would lag running with it.

I dunno what it is then I have dynamic lights off cl_particlefx to 0 and most of my other stuff to the lowest setting so it will run faster. I mean it's slower when I have the .30 out, but when I fire IT DROPS. The dif. between it and another custom one with 3000 some polys (opposed to watercoled's 6000), is astonishing.
