Ooouuu. That's pretty.

Unfortunately, the HL engine doesn't support more than one colour at a time on the tracers, though a similar flamey orange thing would be nice.

The particles still consist of sprites and/or models. You have four choices: 255 colors + transparency, 256 colors, one color and 255 levels of transparency, or 256 colors blended with the background (additive). You could pull of that kind of tracers with additive sprites but I'm not sure if the dod tracers can be altered beyond those numbers in the autoexec.cfg.

Those tracers are hard-coded. I don't think it'd be possible to make them sprites. And even they were, that's a lot of sprites to load and unload really fast, I guess.

It's a hard coded effect. You can get them orange, but you're not going to get them to look like that I'm afraid. Wish you could though.

The Dev team might be able to do something fancy like that, seeing as they have access to the code. But I have no idea how easy or hard it would be to do.

If it's flying that you want, try Aces High (http://www.hitechcreations.com). The flight model in AH is far better than the one you'll find in WW2OL and there's also a larger selection of combat planes to choose from.

heres a scary thought, they usually traced every 5th bullet...that means whenever u see a tracer theres 4 more bullets right behind it.

Try these in your Autoexec.cfg:

//DoD Bullet Tracer settings
traceroffset 30
tracerlength 0.35
tracerred 1.3
tracerblue 0.95
tracergreen 1.1
traceralpha 0.45
tracerspeed 6250

Credit goes to Marzy or Tekkobra or Vassago or one of those realism pack authors. ****, can't remember.

theres a thread on here in which a guy posted his old autoconfig for tracers and i use them and they look really nice. Try finding it.

I just started using these ones.

I never change settings like this normally, but these ones blow your mind. You want to be fired on by mgers on charlie, just cause it looks so cool. Short, and white, and really good looking.

copy this into your autoexec.cfg file:

traceroffset 100
tracerlength 0.35
tracerred 1.2
tracerblue 1.0
tracergreen 1.0
traceralpha 0.45
tracerspeed 7100
