I was helping azncoolteen with new textures for DoD-Dday and made a coastline with !K_Water2B and a sand.
Water is copywright Kamikazi!
Heres 2 different coastlines, the sand, and water in a .zip file
Just load them into a Wad and your good to go.
If you like the concept and want another sand and water coastline, then post the water and sand texture here and I'll wip them up for you and re-post the coastal one.
**Note, remember to add theadn & coastal texture to your materials .txt file located in your sound directory. Add the texture name in there and make it a sand texture, NOT a water.
Remember to keep the amount of water in your brush to a minimum, your basically wanting to just have the foamy part and thats about it.
Heres a preview

[edit: accidentally put 2 of the same pic, heres #1]

Looks good, didn't Dog1 have a moving wave come in? I can't remember, but an animated wash would look good :P
Remember to scale textures up fow lower wpoly, they may look good at ~1x, but horrible at 2x/3x/4x

those textures look very nice, the wash/foam looks very real. im sure they will help azncoolteen with his d-day map.

looks much better than the straight beach with no foam.

I really like that sand texture as well as the waters' edge. This'll be handy.

in regarads to scaling, they do look ok scaled up a bit.
I dunno how much ppl scale up there beach textures, but it cant be that high or you start looking very stretched anywayz. Just thought I'd give a lil detail to mostly ordinary looking beaches.

When I was doing a beach map I had the sand texture going upto 4-6x, it was super low wpoly from that. It did look a bit odd, but then again you weren't meant to be on the beach looking at the sights.
Plus with Detail textures now you could easily get away with scaling it up and layering a sand texture over the top.

can you list the path where the textures need to be placed?

just upload them into a wad using wally. You can drag and drop them in. if you dont have wally you need to download it.

Very nice, I see that some texture artist(s) avoided extinction.

greyish cement or stucco, ur choice. A lighter version of the cement found in the zip file above. Turned out nice, thought id post it.
Good for houses and walls made for the dod_carentan wip.

2 roads that may come in handy for a few of you. Made for Cole for his bridge.
1st version is nice and clean, 2nd is slightly worn. Used the cement base found the in cement/bunker zip file above.
Have fun. Variant? lemme know.

Here's some textures i've done for 2 different maps i'm working on. If you need the base texture for any of them, just ask on here and i'll put it up.

well executed use of the copy and paste button, ender ;)
Watchtower:
Try toning down on the sharpen filter usage and try to define your materials more... the road that you posted looks too much like hmm..grey sand.. and all your textures seem to be based on the same source photo. keep going, dod needs more texture artists!

Thanks Klein, although I do a bit more than copy and pasting. :)
