I was talking to my father yesterday (he is a WWII special operations veteran. Web link to the unit he served with: http://www.alamoscouts.org/ ) about his favorite weapons during the war. His number one choice was the Tommy gun. I then asked him about the BAR. He said he liked it, but hated carrying it. He then told me that they had a light machine gun "barrowed" from the USMC. He told me it was lighter, more accurate, and easier to use in close quarters. He could not remember the correct nomenclature for it but told me it was made by the "Johnson Company" He continued to tell me that Johnson also made a rifle too. He described it to me. That is when I remembered seeing one in the infantry museum at Ft. Benning. So I got to lookin around the web. Here is all I found on it:

The weapon is called the M1941 LMG

So here is my request:
Someone please make this for the BAR. (P & W's are a must)

I think the community would like this addition. Also if this request gathers attention, maybe player model packs for the Alamo Scouts, 1st US Canada Special Service Force might be made. Also maybe the V42 Stilleto too. (http://www.usmilitaryknives.com/P0000182Comando_Knife.jpg) (http://www.usmilitaryknives.com/V-42_Stilleto__Jim_Handlin.jpg)

If anyone is real interested in doing the V42 I own one and can post hires pics of it.

So anyone interested? *crosses fingers*

Hey hey I want to see this done :) Post it as a req on the CDG boards and see if it gets some interest. I might try hacking it up, and I can always ask Darkstorn to model the bits that I can't get. Numb Rider will probably be up for skinning it, too.

Sorry mate I gave up. I couldn't find a way to make the receiver look proper with just hacking.
