in Photo shop, hit <ALT>+<I> then <M> then <T>
It is for the <T>able
the bottom right corner is the color you want transparent
I cant think of the menu names for I M T.

alright, i've done all this. Got the image, made the one color transparent, but when i make it into a sprite, it's still not transparent. Is it the program i use (SprWiz) or am i doing something wrong?
Save the sprite as "alphatest".

don't they have to be named aplayer, gplayer, axis_camera, allied_camera?

you can name them whatever you want, if you are making custom ones for a map, but if you want to replace a sprite in the game, save it over or as the original sprite

Oh, the woes of getting transparency to work.. By the way, "alphatest" is the transparency mode you should use, not the sprite's filename.

Funny you should ask that, I just released a new pack for 1.3, the demise of "vid_d3d 1" making it somewhat necessary. The link is in my sig. Did you mean you had my previous pack in your website? I had a look and couldn't find it there.
Anyway, if whoever was trying to get the transparency to work is still having trouble with it, pm me and I'll see what I can do.
