[MWIP] 82nd paratroopers V2 (for those of you who remember)

i have finally found something to do with these models! (submodels holding me back on new axis pack damnit :mad: )

Ok, i made a reskin of these way back when... and i wanted to make a V2 of them for 1.0.

i also figured it would be great to have 82nd scince 101st tends to get all the spot-light.

im sure only a handfull of you remember mine, you probobly remember the upgrade devin did of mine, with all the equipment and what not.

but thats beside the point :p

i am going to use some of the new default stuff, like the new heads, and helmets. wich i will edit to look more paratroopish (I.E. ill make the faces dirty, with the smudges on the cheeks and what not) i was also thinking of just totally re-skinning the uniform, scince it could just use one anyway. and the arm patches have been remeshed for higher detail (thx dev)

( arm patches have NOT been skinned yet, nor any other part i said i was gonna skin. the uniform is my original 82nd skin)

Also you should sharpen up the uniform a little, that last pic makes it look a little blurry, like near the bottom pocket

yep the 508th PIR of the 82nd airborne, I believe they were called the devil dogs :D Thanks so much man, i actually just tried to make an 82nd default, but i gotta work on it, maybe ill release it to appease us while were waiting for yours.

that awesome project that was being worked on by Devin and me, has been stopped dead in its tracks.

you can thank submodeling for that one.

and also, i will finish these, but i cant release this until they fix the compiler... it just wont compile them for some reason.. :(

Looks great, the detail looks a little too big (on the helmet, i mean the decal i think) but it could be the pic, and if need be I could always just fix it up on my own if its a personal thing. Great work man!

Your not online, so can you do me a favor and not delte your psd for that netter helmet. If/when I use it, I would like to see it without the logo, or maybe with a different logo.

Its a pain is the ass to ahve to cut that sort of stuff out.

hello again, the new compiler is out and im just about ready to release.

but i have one question to ask of the community. im thinking imma ditch the green uniform and go with the dark chocolate brown BOBish color. could be nice. do u all want that, or should i just do a green recolor & release?

That's a pretty standard placeholder for a long string of directories.
It would kinda be like from New Folder\ whatever is between here and \us\para... etc

Like if the directory structure was:

c:\new folder\a\b\c\d\e\f\g\h\i\Hats\body.smd

It would put:

c:\new folder\a\..\Hats\body.smd

To conserve space.

To fix your problem though, chances are your .qc is pointing to the wrong file, or a file that's not there.

Check where your .smd is, check where it says it is in the .qc, and make them match up if need be.

also, I thought to recompile a model there couldnt be any spaces in the names of the folders ie... My Documents....I keep all my models and such in a folder I named C:/DecompiledModels

they are not COMPLETELY finished. i have some minor things to work out. like some of the face textures, and some model things i gotta work out before i release. (multiple releases)

i also did a few thigns like make better scrim, and add some nice equipment.
