M1 Garand Reskin v20874234
Model: DoD Team (original model), MaRzY (sleeves, model enhancement), Trigger (brass knuckles), Flibah (bayo), Grain (fov edits/bullets), Shrike/The_AiM (sling)
Animations: DoD Team (all but one), Pondunkian (punch anim for smash_empty), pvt.Malarkey (bayo animation edit/fix)
Skin: pvt.Malarkey, Trigger (, Russ. Conscript (bayonet), Dillinger (sleeve)
This model includes a punch anim by Pondunkian with Trigger's brass knuckles ONLY for the smash_empty
animation. In other words, it only plays when your garand's clip is empty and you use your secondary
attack.

Very nice but I have a few comments/criticisms.
The model looks really really skinny in HLMV, don't know about in-game.
I think you should release a version without the smash_empty variation as (no offense to animator, I can understand it must be difficult as hell) it looks like hes lauching his arm off a spring rather than punching. And shiny high contrast skins really arnt my thing... simply a matter of taste though.
I guess this recent influx of Garands in gonna leave my attempt in the dirt then :rolleyes:

Outstanding skining ! I really love it ! one of your best :-)
Couple of issues with the final product though... the hands were decompiled and recompiled too much, you can see the black lines on them because the UV maps ran away :p
Also i agree it's quite skinny which makes the skin look sharp and nice but... it's too small for a weapon model imo, but maybe im wrong.
i don't really like that metal boxing fist but that's just me :)
Overall, very good job... i would change a thing or two but i love it and im glad you add a sling too (as always ;]).
Keep it up and COME TO MSA *****!

you won't even see that anim unless you play with cl_autoreload 0 :'(

I have tryed alot of player models in my time, and i like these the best, damn nice.
All's i know is they have brass knuckles, if you could make me "and everyone else" a knife model, but useing the punching animation from that garand, i will bow to thee. :D

oopse didnt want to give bad info.
I use a 1.1 "upgraded" version of ska's player models, aperantly these were edited to work with 1.1 and some changes were made.

Is the version i use.

Nice gunmodel in my opinion, but here's why I won't use it.
The brassknuckle is just too G.I joe'ish and it seems like it would be reduntant to even use it in a melee fight when you could use your rifle and bash the enemy's head in.
When I watched the reload animation I noticd that he has the brassknuckles on which I really hated, sorry...and then I saw that he's not holding the clip even, the clip is floating in mid air.
It's the same on both versions.
There's also some clipping errors in the smash_empty animation.
I would definitely use it with all the ordinary animations, but for now I'll have to pass.
Good work on the gun model, I for one liked the origins.

Already did, just took the defult dod arm, added the brass knuckles to them, and changed the slash animation, not exactly 125% bug proof, but hey..ill live.
Left malarkeys model untouched, and unedited.

Hmm... Those are my high-poly 30_06's in that clip. Seems like and awful waste of polygons considering you only ever see them for 1/20th of a second.
