Perhaps more contrast on the metal, it looks rather flat. Make it shinier.

Don´t make it shinier, the skin is perfect. Shiny weapons are thug style.

Yeah, the metal doesnt reflect that much light, it is rather flat.

Buff it up just a wee bit and it'll be golden!

IMO > Shiny metal looks arse on k98s because the model is really not a smooth enough curve.

Looks great to me, has subtlety.

omg, juicy! i really like them. i, like many others (i belive) are in need of a good k98 skin, gj brut.

personally, i would like to see more contrast/highlights, maybe i will have a go myself just for my own use.

I don't understand whats with the dod model community not making pee wees to go along with their model.

umm... it's kinda hard

The "vee" (lol) model got all of it's backfaces deleted and so you must model them and remesh the model before you can try to convert them to p/w models.

The current p/w models are kinda super low poly and they got a totaly diffrent mesh so people usualy don't really care about them.
Also what you see on your screen all the time in a large close up is the v model and most of the people don't really care about that small w/p model they see... and im acctualy not one of thoses guys but i can understand why people don't work on them.

also the fact i am only a skinner, making "pee wees" would be way too hard for me.
It was a bugger getting that thing to render because of the missign backfaces, took so much photoshop editing hehe

Umm no? Just load up the reference, delete all the parts of the gun that are on both sides so your left with a 'half' model. Then mirror all and export it. Then load up the original reference again and import the 'half' .smd without bones and move it (you should only have to move it along the X axis) till it fits properly and then export.

Works fine because I did that for my current garand. The reference was missing pretty much all of the right side of the gun and on the new animations you could see right through the gun.

i think what he's trying to say is that some guns look different on each side so you'd have to do all that

Silverghost

plus lots of model have faces deleted on both sides.

cant duplicate something that isnt there
