So, i once 1.0 came out, I hated its flags. So the first thing I did was use those cool wavey ones from OpFor. I asked Marzy if I could release with his textures, he said yes, but i waited a bit, for the new compiler. Seems he beat me to releasing the wavey flag part, but Ive gone and made frayed edges for the one I converted, makes the flags feel war torn and stuff.

Its not crap, its just not newb-friendly. You're obviously too incompetent to handle this complex system of clicking and user-names, so I'll help you out.

Step 1: Sign up for a new hotmail account. Call it whatever the **** you want. It doesnt matter at all.

Step 2: Sign up for a gamespy account or whatnot with your brandnew hotmail account. Remember your password.

Step 3: Gamespy will send you some dopey confirmation email, and it will send it to the hotmail account you supplied. Receive the mail, click that confirm ****, and your gamespy account is now validated.

Step 4: When asked to sign in for any gamespy stuff, supply your "username" thats that hotmail accounts address, and your password.

Step 5: Never ever check that stupid hotmail account. After 2 weeks of inactivity, hotmail will deelte your account. But your gamespy username and password are still perfectly viable. Any junkmail Gamespy treis to send you will be sent to an address that doesnt exist. So if you're really some kind of revolutionary loser, your fuxking both companies at the same time.

Thats the default crossair.

If you have flag textures you want to use, you can just add the color 0 0 255 (pure blue) to them and add them to my flag models. They will be transparent.

I dont know what you people are talkign about with doing this to the Brit flag. Did you not read my first post? Theres a Brit flag in there. Its got the cool ripped edges too. IF fact, theres TWO brit flags in there. FLags.mdl ahs all 4 types of flags, and you cna flip through the submodels to see all 4. Then theres w_bflag.mdl. A BIG, BRITISH, FLAG.

I don't appeciate being refered to as "Teh Ghey" or whatever. I find it stressful and hard to put up with, and on some days down right retarded. Hate FP to hell, but keep it to yourself. Nor do my "Clients" like it. Be considerate. I've dealt with 5 of ya, each 1 worse than the last. I find it really down grading to have some1 release something or myself, and theres no feedback just complaints about the hosting. Thats pretty much Thread Hi-Jacking and im pretty sure the "Clients" dont like it. Especially Devin over here you has to put up with it.

I'm starting to think its not worth the trouble I have to put it with. Some times ive thought of to stop offering hosting. But I wont unless the situation gets totally out of control, but keep it in mind.

Can you guys just shut the hell up about Fileplanet and stop trying to hijack the thread? If you don't like the host, don't download it. FP works fine for some, and others hate it like the plauge. If the flags aren't already mirrored on different sites then they will be soon.

These are a really clever idea for a flag replacement. Though I'm wondering if the troops would still try to follow the rules of the flag and retire their flags when they got that beat up, or if (more likely) they'd just say '**** it' and keep it up anyways?

Devin, sorry, I didn't see your post until now. But, you nailed it! I wanted the flag without the arrows in the corners and I just dl'd your zip and see that's the one you did. So, thanks again! I have your ripped and torn flags in my game now, I'm keeping them in, they are so cool!:) If you do have some more free time soon, it would be cool if you also did the one with the arrows in the corners as well. I may use it down the line sometime, and others here might want to use it as well, but I'll leave it at your convience. Thanks again man!

Not exactly. When amrzy released his 256 flags, I then just upped the rez, and fixed the mesh problem myself. So yes, these are MArzy's hi res textures. And yes, the alignment is fixed. Did you not look at the pictures?

They go in the models/mapmodels folder.

Love the flags, using them now.
