Question - Are para and infantry models interchangable

Can para models and infantry models be renamed and used as either one? For example, if I want my para skins as my infantry skins, can I just rename them and put them in my infantry folder?

well ok then. you could in 3.1, haven't tried it in 1.0. just assumed you could. sorry for the misinformation there.

yeah... Interestingly enough they do... Even though the skeletons are positioned differently the animations are still assigned to the appropriate bones... This is why in 3.1 you could rename the Para models as the individual classes and they would work albeit without their helmets... On a side note.. the G.I. Joe standard Allied pack I did before 1.0 came out had 2 models using the Para skeleton, and 3 using the standard skeleton...

Thanks for the help guys. It seems like there's varying opinions...I guess you could say that I shoulda just tried it out myself....but I'm sure this would have come up again and is something good to know. Anyhow, thanks for the comments.
Hey EinsatzKommando, I was wondering if you could put a black ring around your swatstika player icon. Since everyone seems to be putting a white ring around the British and Allies player icons, I thought a black ring around yours would make the axis one look more dark and sinister...:) I'm sure others would like it as well as a new release.

If you put infantry on a para map you will only see the uniform on the first submodel, as the paras have no 2nd body submodel it does not seem to use it with the inf modes in their place.
