05-08-2003, 01:25 PM
First off, special thanks to Editor321 and Marksman for getting this converted :D. If you're curious, YES, this has the buttsmack animation.

This is just a simple reskin of the beautiful MoH garand to some photorealistic woodgrain that I liked. I hope you like it, too!

- A Hi-Res Photo Realistic woodgrain texture taken from a 1600x1200 Digital image.
- Added knotches and scrapes in the wood.
- Comes with reskinned P, V, and W models (all featured in picture)

Model: Nomad
Original Skin: Polygon
Original Skin: Slinky
Skin: Mercatorn
P Models: RealyPssd
Animations: DoD Team
Convert: Marksman (Model) and Editor321(Skins)
Reskin: Dillinger

Yes very nice!!

Just a question, are those the default origins?

05-08-2003, 02:39 PM
Yeap, as far as I know they are defaults.

Wow! It looks awsome!

It looks very pretty.

But im not a big fan of lighter wood grain. They remind me too much of my kitchen table. Good work anyways.

so far, im using all your weapon models you released. Who knows, maybe after awhile all weapons i use are from you

05-09-2003, 09:45 AM
:D Thanks for all the kind remarks, I'm just glad I was able to make something you guys like.

05-10-2003, 04:34 AM
I like them but I think this "errected" weapons are not as good as normal one imo.
They look too weird for me.

05-10-2003, 03:01 PM
dillinger, do you make your own wood texture, or do you use a picture?

05-10-2003, 04:21 PM
All my wood textures are taken from hi-res digital pictures I take of woodgrain on my digital camera.

Then I just add the appropriate shading, lighting, scratches, etc via Photoshop. :D

05-12-2003, 10:24 PM
Very nice work - I'll definitely be using this.

05-12-2003, 10:26 PM

Ill have links on my weapons site as soon as I get the new host.

Do you think you could find the time to make a shoulder view version?? :) I'd appreciate it if you could.

05-13-2003, 09:58 AM
if anyone has a host for me, i can host mine, ill post a pic later tonight of how i have it.

05-13-2003, 10:05 AM
already got it got it from editor123 or houstondod one ore the other cant remember

k, here are some screenies of the shoulder version of mine, it has clipping when you look straight up, but i don't really care much about that, as i don't look that much straight up.
Fixing that would mean for myself that it doesn't feel right anymore.

this is how it looks when looking straight forward:
screen 1 (http://home.quicknet.nl/qn/prive/mjj.denooij/dod/screenies/garand1.jpg)

This one shows when the clipping starts:
screen 2 (http://home.quicknet.nl/qn/prive/mjj.denooij/dod/screenies/garand2.jpg)
just look right above the ammo counter of my current clip, there it starts.

This one shows how it looks when looking straight up:
screen 3 (http://home.quicknet.nl/qn/prive/mjj.denooij/dod/screenies/garand3.jpg)
As i said before, i don't mind it that much, infact, i only noticed it today when making the screens (after using it since it war released....)

If anyone wants it, let me know, ill try to find a host then.
