i think this is my last hackjob due i dont play dod anymore - maybe i start again when 1.1 is out - it replaces the axis paratroops - some of the new stuff is from felix ( ironcross and officers pants ) i also use a modfied version of mortars sniper and some textures of Pubs SS Infantry

i hope schlex uploads them tommorow - otherwise i´ll look for another host - u can edit ( reskin) every class single - hands , helmets collartabs , tops , pants etc thats why the model is quite big - i hope not too big - never tried them ingame cause i have no dod or steam installed anymore here is a pic :

I don't like it too much, mostly because in almost every release you use the same materials over and over again.

You also mix the heer with the SS and make everyone generals and you also mix all the camoflauge textures together without too much logic... desert pants with spring tunic and more.
those faces and textures really overused, imo you need to try skining your own textures and if you use materials from other released make make sure they are not the main parts otherwise what's the point releasing if it was already released?
also those googles are not very realisitc, pilots used them sometimes (mostly in WWI) and some of the Africa troops, i really don't think you would see anyone using them in europe.
Also you won't see a general with camoflauge uniforms and especialy not with a suit and a tie under it...

you also won't see a division commander with his camoflauge uniforms and a hood on his head with a sniper rifle.

If you are aiming for realisem, your pack is very unreal imo.
That's just my opinion though.

I think it's pretty obvious he isn't aiming for realism.

yeah well... SS paratroopers? ;/

If you don't aim for realisem atleast go for it all the way.

[random interjection] A Standartenfuhrer is more of a Regimental Commander...[/ri]

the reason i made the Sniper a Standartenführer is that i read about the Duell in Stalingrad were it was said that it wasnt Major König who should kill Zaitzev but SS Sniperteacher Standartenführer Thorwald - so i made him the Sniper.
The Model is a Mixture between SS , Schutzpolizei and Wehrmacht.
They were not meant to be Paratroops but Infantry that replace the Paratroops cause i hate the Paratroops - there is no real reason on any map why the Paratroops shouldnt be normal Infantry

the model is in so far realistic that they all wear proper insignia -
im not sure with the Schutzpolizei Stosstruppe

Looks fine to me so far...the bottom line mortar and anyone else is simply do not use these models if they do not suit your taste.

Also on the SS paratroopers...they did exist: http://www.eagle19.freeserve.co.uk/ss500.htm

I do agree with Mortar though in that you shouldn't have any rank higher than an Unteroffizier because the mp40 class is supposed to be an Unteroffizier, therefore you can't really be incorrect with it.

i think u mixed up the sniper with the officer - this time the officer has no rank - first i wanted give the officer a luftwaffe cap but then i decided the black cap fits better - here is another pic

each class has its indiviual hands - u can reskin all classes independent from the other - also the gear - for example the zeltbahns - i would be happy if someone would reskin them completely new

feel absolutely free to reskin them and release if u want - but if u do take care with snipers transparency
