Much much much better release, i really like it...
I know the faces are not yours but they look great and it was smart using them.

2 things bother me, the helmet signs look a little off and not in the center (maybe it should be like that but i doubt it).
and you are still using SS eagle signs for some head gear.

Yes I am planning on doing allied models. Thanks Speirs.

@Mortar: No, your wrong, the Heer used the black nazi eagle decal.

http://www.german-helmets.com/HEER%20MAIN.htm - Look at this picture of a soldier in the Heer.

http://www.german-helmets.com/HEER%20Decal%20Types.htm - This shows all the different nazi eagle decal types of the Heer.

http://images.google.com/images?q=heer+helmet&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off&filter=0 - This google image search reveals that almost all of the search results for 'heer helmet' show the nazi eagle and the tri-color shield.

That's what i said, i never said the helmet signs are not ok, i said SOME of the head gear insignia is incorrect and about the helmet i said the sign look out of the center

Here is what i mean :

Felix

Alright I'll take that into account when I start v3.

Looking forward to your allied models, these germans are beautiful, love the mp2 faces.. the RTCW ones were getting old.

And I never thought anything would replace my previous germans

Oh, Felix, sweet stuff. Beautiful. All my other player models look like crap next to them.

If all my models were as great as Splinter's SVT-40 and these guys... Houf!

Yes... i acctualy did quite a research about that.
Don't get me wrong, the pack is great and one of the best to be released here but still... there are mistakes, the eagle that was used is incorrect, it's the SS eagle sign and since it's a Heer pack and not a waffen SS pack, it's wrong using it.

It's Not a big deal, some might not even notice it, they are both eagles just with some slight changes in the wings and ingame you can't really notice stuff like that anyway but i know that if i made some mistakes in my releases i would like people to tell me about them, so i did... Other than that is it a great player model and a gj :-) much better than the first one too.

heerv2 is incompatable with dod1.2 , in dod1.2 the stosstruppe guy has a white head.

Felix
05-20-2004, 01:28 AM
It's compatable you have to reinstall it because 1.2 deletes the _t model.

I do thank you Mortar for pointing out the fact I used the wrong eagle once or twice, and it will be changed with v3 that I will start working on soon once I get Photoshop onto my PC again.

This is probably a stupid question, but, is there amn easy way to remove them?, for example, to play a clan mach where customs are not allowed...

Felix
05-22-2004, 03:49 PM
You can either delete the model files them selves, or rename the folder for example /player/ to /player1/ so they don't load but you still have them.
