Okay, I've looked at some references, quite a few actually, but this pattern/texture etc is not final, I do not like it the way it is and the final will be in a much higher resolution (I'm talking about the smock). The face was taken and edited from Max Payne 2...I think it looks good though...and at least it's not another RTCW face. The collar tabs and the belt buckle were done with photos, as well as the helmet. Edited the hands to be a little higher quality skin wise, but you can't tell from these angles. Will probably put high-res hand models in later. The hands will NOT clip through the sleeves! I absolutely hate that...so I'll be sure it doesn't happen with these models. Started on the sniper a little bit as well, so the grenadier and the sniper should be done in a day or so (I hope.)

awesome....can u also release a version that has all helmets, no hats?
right now i use defaults but the mp40 and sniper have helmets instead of hats
that'd be awesome...ive been looking for some non-rtcw hackjob models, and found nothing i like

I'd suggest adding sleeve insignia to the smock, perhaps tucking in the coller to make it look more rugged..maybe half in half out...Talk to me if you need any help. (Reference wise)

Is the Unterfeldoffizier going to use a Crushed Cap?
Also, if you need any help for Camo bases or ideas, I can help in this area should you need it.

.....................
F*CK...just when i think this is gonna be a great infantry pack he hasta go announce that hes using some lame overdone skull cap
the models look great, the textures look great, but why have some field officer running around
i will however, marry u if u release a version that is all helmets, no hats...i doubt im the only person that'd rather have all grunts, and no officers
as a side note i currently use the default models, just that the mp40 and sniper both have helmets instead of those hats

Nut: Don't come into my thread and flame my work, I don't care if you were 'just joking', I don't appreciate it. Especially don't do this while your asking me to release a special version for you at the same time. However, because I'm generous, if you RELAX about it, I'll make a version with all helmets.
Mortar: It's a reskin of the default model.
Gabagoo: I won't post in-game screenshots until they are more complete.
Nordvolk: Nope...they are generic SS, not going to designate them a division at this point.
Panzerschrek: Yes, he will have a crushed cap. Though I'll release different versions.

Nut, you realise the cap the default Unteroffizer wears is issued to ALL soldiers in the German Military at the time? Further, "Unteroffizer" by even reading it implies it is under officer. Uffz is equal to about a Sergeant...A Grunt. Believe it or not some didn't wear a helmet.

He can also make them with jetpacks, it's HIS pack ? maybe ? he doesn't even have to release it... the only thing that was lame was lame that comment you made.
Felix - if you say it's a default model reskin... how can they have those caps then ?
P.S
Nm first part.
Felix

Well, there's some hacking involved for the officer cap.

No, the red/white/black striped shield was eliminated, as was the swastika shield I think it was 1940 or some there abouts. During the majority of the war, the SS runes and the nazi eagle decals were used.

check out a pack by flammenwerfer and a few others called
"12thSS Battle of Caen Div"
I think those guys did some good research and got some nice gear and stuff for their models.

Yeah, I've seen them and used them before. Also, one of the resources I used for the information on the decals is here (http://www.germanhelmet.com/abouthelmet.html). Look for the 'Decals' part. I got the information about the specific decals being discontinued in certain years was at some site I found just browsing along, and I didn't save it so I can't find that one right now.
About the time the war began the tri-color decal was discontinued and soldiers were instructed to remove or paint over that decal on helmets in use.
Waffen SS helmets had the SS shield on the right and the red shield with swastika on the left. The swastika decal was discontinued early in the war.
At some point in 1942 the application of any decal was discontinued, with the exception of some waffen SS and Air Force (Luftwaffe) who continued to decal until near the end of the war.
