This MP40, unlike other skins released, is not factory fresh. This has seen many a fight and is rusting badly on the outside. Still shoots good, nothing a little rust remover and a toothbrush can't fix.

the germans were very very neat and i doubt you could find even the smallest rust on new weapons any way... that weapon looks like it's 200 y/o, i'd rather not use such weapon at all... wouldn't wanna get my self an infaction.

might be a great texture though such skins are not my style, GL with it ;-)

German units on the Western Front and Eastern Front were rarely resupplied, so their weapons did show wear...

yet I doubt to that extent.

ask that to the men of the 6th army! They had casualties of their own because the rear of the gun exploded because it was so torn out their weapons couldn't hold the pressure of the powder. They even ate their own men to stay alive so I do think it was farely common to see a weapon like that :p lovely skin btw ;)

yep they got surrounded in stalingrad and couldn't be supplied and stuff and the whole 6th german army got destroyed

normally i dont like dirt and i dont like that model , but if u made the default mp40 model looking that way i would give it a try

The fact of the matter is German Soldiers were not issued a new weapon every week just so it'd look pretty, they took care of what they had, ie, they kept it firing. Its external appearence didn't matter in combat, so long as it still could keep them and their men alive.

lookin nice engi. the bit below the main barrel/cylinder bit seems a little rust and lightning free, you probably havent finished that bit yet.
