**HOW DO CHANGE THE TEXTURES FOR NEWBS AND OTHER PEEPS**

Ok you need these Programs:
Half-Life Model Veiwer(HLMV)
Ms Paint (DONT TELL ME YOU DONT HAVE IT)

Step2: Use HLMV to export the textures(Refere to Tut Screen 2)Name it is name for easy import later.http://www.planethalflife.com/editor321/images/garandtut/step2.jpg

Step3: Resize each texture to fit. A table is given below:

1-slink.bmp=508x507
4-slink.bmp=608x249
3-slink.bmp=600x392
wood.bmp=608x409

Step4: Resizing Textures(How To)
They have to meet the measurements above for each texture.
Visual Instructions supplied (Refere to Tut Screen 4)http://www.planethalflife.com/editor321/images/garandtut/step4.jpg

Step5: Now Import Your Texture on one of the models, by pressing the import button and selecting to correct texture.

This may need to be done to the P models which there measurement chart is the following: (Follow the same steps)
W Models have the same size

And I think thats it. Hope I havent done anything like bored you, pissed you off or such of the like, it was meant to help if it didnt, plz let me know.

Please, PLEASE, no ripped skins from MoH:AA!
Or BF:1942, or RtCW, or any other game.

Same goes for sounds, models, textures, or anything else that's intellectual property of anyone but Valve.

Look at it this way - how would you feel if someone ripped your work?

Owned, but I think you're gonna get in trouble with that remark.

Is it just me or does it seem that since 1.0 came out our modeling power has gone way down?

Well the Moh Skin, as far as i can tell isnt a direct rip. But im not sure, but it checked out ok when it was release here about a year ago.

Sure, considering 1.0 has been out for what, a whole week, if that?
Sheesh...

Probably, and they're nice ones at that.
But the skins don't make the rules here.
I'm not doing this to be a prick - I want to make sure you guys have a forum to post your work on. And ripped models, textures, skins etc. are a good way for EA to slap us with a cease-and-desist - which would be like a ban, times 3,000...

Maybe it would happen, maybe it wouldn't - let's not tempt fate.
All I'm asking is don't use other companies' IP - show the same respect for them as you'd ask for your own work. Remember that this rule protects your work, too.

If you can't do that, at least don't advertise that you got the skin/sound/etc. from MoH or RtCW or whatever. And I'm sure that the readme for questionable material doesn't say "used without permission", either...

If it's your own work that was independently made to appear similar to existing intellectual property, that's fine. But I think you know what I'm talking about.

So, are we going to get along, or are you going to cop an attitude?
