For sometime now I have been long awaiting any signs of some of these italian models that were discussed to be made. Now I'm not asking for the finished models I simply want reinsurence that it is still going on. So if you are apart of the ones working on it could you please post some pics?

Gracias,
Dr. Midnight

There was work being done with myself, john doe and a bunch of others. John did some QUALITY work on playermodels, but he hasn't posted any progress. I'm still re-mixing italian voice comms, we have nobody for weapons (though that dosn't matter much to me) but we have some awesome sprites thanks to mussolini headkick.

Just an update.

- Jed I don't know if that is supposed to be some kind of joke or something, Jed, but I take offense to your comment, it was unnecessary and imflammitory. I for one have never used the RTCW textures on any of my work, in fact, I'm one of the few people who's actually done player models 100% from scratch. Mortar and I have already decided that he will make Italian faces based probably off the default DoD face models, I make take a shot at making a few from scratch myself.

I for one am getting a little tired of your crusade against RTCW textures, particularly when it spills into threads that have nothing to do with the issue.

:/
What i can tell you for sure is that it WOULD NOT have RTCW textures.

Im not quite sure about the model but for now everything is open but tbh i don't get that anti RTCW movment too, i respect your effort with creating original materials but i don't think there is anything wrong about using models while texturting them with your own works.

Trig, Mort-

Jed is a good guy, chances are he made a joke with humor only his twisted mind understands...cool yo' jets.

Jed is all hot on copyright laws, thats HIS motivation, he'll argue with you all day that you might think its OK, but its still illegal (and he's right)

MY stance is still that yeah...ok so using the rtcw textures is commonplace, but has gotten boring now, I'd be much happier and give folks much more props if they'd just a) use some OTHER textures (antyhing really) or b) make their own

Thats all! nothing to fret over! Like I said, I'd love to contribute, gimme a shout :)

Im not offended easly.

btw i say it again, you won't see any rtcw textures.

Arguing simply for the sake of arguing is fun, though. I think copyright laws as they currently are are overly restrictive, and meant to benefit big companies like Disney who want to maintain their monopoly on things that should long ago have been public domain.

Also i will add that here, we credit RTCW when using their materials, models or textures... and w/e, and anyway it's not like someone will come to the MSA and see a RTCW model + skin and say OMG they have those models, why buying RTCW? or from now on im not playing RTCW anymore, bs.

+ i think RTCW:ET (though im totaly not sure) have the same kind of models or atleast simliar ones, and the game is 100% free.
and after all, we do it for the fun and for people here to enjoy it.
