Milkshape 1.7 is borko

everytime i import a ref strange faces are attatched to a random vertex .....ugh :/ :\

that happens because milkshape is stupid but i learned to overcome that...
it happens when you name your textures x y.bmp with a space in the middle (unlike x_y.bmp/xy.bmp)

inorder to work normally with such models in ms3d, rename the texture to a diffrent "fixed" name without spaces and then open the reference file in notepad and replace the x y.bmp with the one you renamed (there is a replace tool in the options), make sure you replace them all and then after you finish save it and open MilkShape.

Yeah i get the same problem sometimes. jus go to groups and delete the new one its added.

I think the latest Milkshape up date fixed some of these. I posted a link a while ago but I cant be arsed to look for it.

1.7 has other issues, as well. Animation doesn't work, it crashes with the new Catalyst drivers, it alters the mesh or texturing of the model...

The simplist answer seems to be don't use 1.7, it doesn't add anything revolutionary to the previous version anyway.

Unfortunately I have to use 1.7 as the other version aren't compatable with my new graphics card :(
