Can anyone convert these 3.1 Jin Roh MGer models (http://www.the-level.net/blitz/jinrohmg.zip) to 1.1 models for all classes? My room-mate and I would appreciate it a TON! <3

psst.. you might want to replace the 3.1 skeleton with a 1.0 or 1.1 skeleton, and then recompile with the newest animations... I had that same thing happen when I tried compileing a 3.1 skeleton with the 1.1 animations... ;)

If that doesn't work then damned if I know..

As I understand it, that error message is determined by file sizes, if your model is outside of a certain range of file size, it won't work.

So models cant be over a certain MB?

Or under a certain MB.

If you have a full body .smd for each class then I could see getting up there in file size, but that's not really stopped anyone beofre form doing it that way... However, aside from different gear the Jin-Roh all look the same so you could easily get away with one body .smd repeated in the .qc file, and separate .smd's for each classes' gear... <shrug> ...

(my bet is still on the 3.1 skeleton thingy)

every body is one smd file and they have only 2 textures one for the body and one for the glowing eyes .
they have no gear or something like that - but im not so experienced yet to make them work right.
maybe someone of u could cause i wanna play with them too

i tried it again and this time the model only few mb - but it didnt work again ?
When i can see them doing correct all the animations in the modelviewer then i guess the skeletons must be alright ?

so were is the problems - i´ve seen those 2 allies sets from 3.1 - so i guess its possible to convert them or dont they work also - i never tried.
but when it was possibel there why dont works it here ?

It's a file consistancy thing. It's a server side option if I recall correctly. Try joining a different server?

How can i remove this file consistency error

Ok.. I converted these over just fine.. All I did was load up a 1.1 skeleton, import the Jin-Roh mesh, edit the .qc file, and compile...

I was able to have my own LAN game as well as join to several online servers.... Seems to be working fine..

I didn't amke any changes to the model itself... I only updated the skeleton, and compiled it with the 1.1 anims... Thta's pretty much what I was saying needed to be done all along ...

Here's a download link.. Now worship your God Blitzkrieg !!!

Rather than create yet another jin roh thread, do these need to be converted for use in 1.2? If so, we can just use this thread :D

Jin Roh must live on until the end of time, or DoD. Holding bets to see which comes first :p

They work great with 1.2

Thanks!

Great model, however, I think there is a problem with the left leg hitbox.

Oh wow... that model looks sick and downtrodden :(

The shoulder pads look sunken/deflated, and the waist would make barbie proud!

This is how it should look! :D

Yeah, I know. I'm hoping that updated version Burncycle just posted a picture of has been released, instead of the converted version posted a month and a half ago by Effexx?

I just recompiled the old version for 1.1 ... I didn't make the model... <shrug>
