im looking to get the current default 1.1 player models for skinning.

i don't know how to access them with the new steam set-up. all i have are the older retail models that have the annoying head-only animations when you turn left and right.

i did a search, and i found a whole bunch of things relating to this topic, but i couldn't find anything that told me where to get the the current ones or how to access them in the steam cache.

Also since gcf scape didn't work for me, they have them on the last page of player models at www.schlex.net
