are there any maps made for sniping, like a good ol' 5 on 5 sniper war? If there are, do they by any chance allow only snipers?
Just a temporary whim I'm having... thanks for putting up with it.

I always thought there was room in DoD for a all-sniper map...like a set of buildings on either side of a river where you sniped from one side to the next and you keep a "Death-Counter" and the first one to a certain number looses. Kinda a "Rat-Sniper-Map" concept. Might be fun (in a limited fashion)

I did know of a map that was designed just for snipers ... can't remember the name now ... sorry :(.
If someone did do a map just for snipers they could always weapon strip and give just sniper rifles .... hummmm
btw FuzzDad ... Limited fun is always the best fun to have.

You could have snipers only on dod_schwetz. That's a great sniper map.

Schwetz is the greatest sniping map. Zafod is also great around the bridge area, with no deathcam. Deathcam makes sniper wars pointless by removing the most enjoyable part, discovering your attackers position and nailing him in the eyes.

thanks guys, I've pm'd Wiking about the map and if he sends it to me I'll host it for a little while so others can get at it.
@fuzzdad, you should definately look in to doing a map like that if you come across some free time (or maybe i'll finally decide to learn how to map)

I don't think I would want fuzzdad to create a sniper map. He's so slow:p

Hey guys, I use to map about a year ago for a little while, and im deciding to come back. So I was wondering if you all cared if I took a shot at this map, I love sniping and this sounds like a good map that could get me back into mapping and help me remember a little bit. Anybody care?

Hey guys, you know it's weird. I did that map 1 year ago and nobody wanted to host it for me. Now a year later I've gotten 5 emails about it and an offer to join a Mod team as a mapper. All I have is an incomplete .rmf save left and I don't know if I remember how to bring the map back to life. I'm trying though.
My biggest problem right now is getting Hammer to work with Steam. :(

There are a lot mis-aligned textures in that map. It could be prettier.

The pictures on the website were done a few days before the map was completed, those textures were fixed for the final release.
