I did a re-colour of Nomad and Polygon's M1 Carbine and after watching the Thin Red Line i thought it would b cool to hav an M1 Carbine the same colour.

needs to be desaturated and you need to give it a more redish color.

the metal looks quite dark, like too black. The wood is nice, but i dont know the actual colour of the one from the thin red line.

I agree, the movie really blew.

Didnt they fight the Japs in that movie? I liked the part where they're in a high grass feild working their way up. But all in all, it did kinda suck. I've never seen an episode of Band Of Brothers. I'm glad its coming on the history channel this month.

IMO it tried to be too deep and meaningful and instead jus came out as drivel.

People try and sound clever by saying it was 'emmotional' or 'stiring' but you ask them to try and explain half the **** it said in the film and watch them struggle lol

thin red line is a totally different movie then BOB or Ryan. The director works kind a different. And yeah, i agree, the scene with the high grass and the americans working their way up is impressive. And the soundtrack - it makes you quiet. The battle in that village, with the deep, sonore music: chill!

But the story is not as good as Ryan. It's more meditative, introspective, emotional. But not really to the point as a story.

lolz @ Ska's sig, I see you watched Father Ted last night too. :p

I quite like the colour of that M1, dunno if I'd use it tho, I have some sort of irrational love for the plain ol' default. ;)

I love this re-skin. I think it's great. Good work. Don't change it at all.

The Thin Red Line is probably the most realistic war movie ever made. Not that I've been in war or anything, but I have spoken to many veterans who favor it over the mellow-dramatic Saving Private Ryan.

And Yeah, about the director. That was his first movie in 30 years. He took over 6 hours of film and was forced to trim it down into 3, leaving big leading parts by Adrien Brody, John Travolta, and Elias Koteas on the cutting room floor.

About that poetry stuff about love and all that good junk. I think if my life was threatened than that is precisely what I would think about. It was so poetic because it was more abstract than anything else, not to make everything all panzy-ish. That's why this movie is my favorite. Of all time.

It was a movie about what the people went through, not about all that hero BS.
