Its not quite the SDK but its a start. Wish I'd seen this ealier, had to wait in line at file planet for an hour lol

Where can i learn modeling in the XSI, i just finished installing it and it's quite diffrent than milkshape ^_^

Look on the XSI website - theres loads of tutorials.

Stick with learning Max for now mate. Once you get the hang on that XSI should become a lot easier to handle. I've been pottering about it in for an hour or so now and its pretty much like max in alot of respects. Only problem is things like the rotate/zoom shortcut keys are different so I keep messing things up lol

if you do wanna learn XSI first though you should find some tutorials on the home page/forums.

lollerskates! I'm a bit kackhanded with Max anyway. I don't even know the keyboard shortcut for "pan" and have to keep going to the toolbar! I've been learning it arse-about-face anyway - I've sussed timeline animation but havent even tried doing low poly modelling yet.

I'll probably give XSI a crack over the weekend though - at the moment I'm still beating Milkshape into submission. :p

Nah, I only installed Max 5 a week ago because I was doing some animations for FuzzDad and Milkshape was ****ing me off with its rando-keyframing deal. I just installed Max and the SMD importer and keyframed it in that.

I still do all my modelling and UV Mapping in Milkshape and LithUnWrap and all my texturing in Photoshop LE.

biafra - i'd recommending learning PS, it's very useful in many aspects.

I have been messing around with photoshop cs for about 3 hours, and I have come up with my first texture. it is suppose to be dead grass, but I think it just looks weird...

i will also be helping seeding this prgm. as i am going to be into modeling myself and also photoshopping.

Jed's seed gave me 40 kbs and i got it in one hour. my upload cap is 30 kbs. so add his and mine and u will download it under an hour... maybe 40 minutes.

Well, its 2am on the Westcoast, and im getting it at 500 KB/s off fileplanet :>
