Ok I'm a nub at hacking models and need a good hacking TUT.
for a sec there when i saw the title i thought you were talking about something else then i remeber this is msa..
Hackjobs would be a beter name for what your refering to.

It covers the basics of hackjobbing, it's done with a CS model but the principles are the same for any HL mod. ;)

Hack jobbing, IMO, is absolutely fine as long as you give due credit and ask permission to use parts.

Yes but it should decompile it automatically.
The T-Model contains just the textures - some models use them to save load time as it only loads the textures when their needed instead of when the model is loaded.

Thanks for all your help guys:) Do I open the QC one? And when try open it dosen't open the model.If Im trying to hack pices of a US inf model onto a brit inf model which should I open?

What you want is the SMD files which you import into Milkshape/Max. The QC lists how they are constructed - the first ones in the QC define the mesh of the model, the last 346 odd just define animations.
Have a read through the Tutorials sticky thread at the top of the page - theres a LOT of relevant stuff in there you will find handy.
