Right, I'm not too up on animating so bear with me of this one.
I was wondering if it would be possible to have a player model appear to have a holstered side arm/nades but when they change to that weapon, it dissappears from its holster/webbing so only the p model is seen in the players hand and gives the impression that the player has drawn it.
The way i figured you could do it is add two extra bones to the player model each one assigned to eithe the side arm or nade and have them move with the rest of the body in a set position to make them look as they they are in the player's holster or webbing. Then when the player draws that weapon the bone move either a great distance below the player model (so its under ground) or above (so its too high to see). This would move the model off the player leaving only the weapon visible in its hand.
I know this would involve editing every side arm/nade animation not to mention all the others to have the weapon remain in the holsters but is it possible you reckon?
