ok, RJ is back, and better than ever:

Tutorial covering: Models, Doors, Flag Caps, clipping tool, and more.

make sure to read the text file that comes with, he made a mistake while making the map and he explains it in the text.

other than that, just go nutz, ive seen it, its VERY good if you are shaky about some things on mapping

ooOOOOoooo very good. Would recomend to noobies that are getting started and need familiarization (spelling). But i got one question, maybe this is off-topic, but i dont think its worth a new post. Should i even have the Half-life wad in my texture selection?

yes, the more wads you have, the better, or so i like to think. mor wads just means more textures.

just when you compile, and use batch by Nemisis, go to the csg section and type in the paramaters: -nowadtextures and that will take care of everyhing. when you are done, its not a bad idea to make a wad of the textures you used either and then have VHE and Batch call them all from the same spot

you don't want to have to many wads (or wads that are too large either) you'll run into problems and I can attest to it.

if you make one wad out of all the textures you used, it wont be that big, or at least it wont be as big as say one of Kami's like Platnium.... 20 freekin megs.... its hooge... but outstanding none the less

If you use to many unique textures in your map you will get a maxtextmem error and will need to make the textmem higher and add a few other commands to be able to embed your textures with the higher textmem

Guess who here? (Finally, I was able to get in my email account the ISP gave me after founding out about it). Anyways to get on topic here (this thread wasn't for wads but oh well), I will be making a 3rd one probably tomorrow after school and releasing it that same day. Does anyone find the dodmapping2.zip file corrupt? B/c some of my friends keep telling me it's not working and I dunno why. Anyways thanks for your comments and all, I appreciate them :).

Once again, i think this video files should be included with the FAQ because seeing it is so much easier to newcomers than trying to explain how to work hammer. Good work.

uh, well I had 5 in use and each were 50-90MB so kami-platinum is tiny compared to the huge ones I used.

i like his first video but when i dl-ed the second one it doesnt work, it plays for the begging few seconds then the screen freezes and i just can hear him talking. WHAT GIVES?
