All those shiney attachments that come on an StG44. The Viper night vision scope, the regular scope, the grenade launcher, the silencer. Don't really want the Krumlauf attachment (bent barrel).

Got an old book around somewhere with loads of pics of the scope/lamp like how the wires attach and that. I'll go have a look for it and scan them if i can.

What you mean? They invented it lol

They even had Vampir scopes fitted to tanks.

What it is, the black light shines beam of light invisible to the naked eye but visible through the scope. Therefore you can use it like a search light in the dark but the enemy wont be able to see it. Of course as soon as the allies made their own version of the scope it meant you could see which direction the enemies guns were pointing and see where they were lol

Actually it was infrared, not black light. Some snipers had em on, too. Prolly did some serious work cleaning up with those damn things.

Infared, You sure? Everything I've read on them so far says it's black light. Which is quite easy to see with the right equipment which is why they ditched them in the end. May be wrong though.

What are these for anyway, can we expect a shiney new MP44 model? :D

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was black light. After all, black light isn't hard to see at all, especially on white surfaces. Like snow...guess what Russia has lots of... :)

As for whether it's for a new model... *looks shifitily about and gets to work*
