Here's a rubbletutorial:

Here (http://www.leveldesign.nu/modules.php?name=Sections&sop=viewarticle&artid=182)

It's in swedish, but you can always look on the pic's ;)

way too many polies for a corner of rubble. but same idea

You could make that rubble pile in about 4-5 brushes, that is WAY too many

Just start by making a triangle, duplicate it, manipulate the vertex's, make another, etc, until all the vertex points line up.

nah, its an easy 1 brush process. go to the bottom right corner of hammer and see where it says 'objects:' and the default is 'block'. For good yet simple rubble select 'spike' and then when you make a new brush it will create an object in the shape of a cone. Choose how many faces will appear around the spike, 4 is a bit squarish, but 8 is pretty good. After that you can clip it in half to go against a wall, or clip it in quarters to fit nicely into corners. (but if your to clip it into quarters, you need to start with a number of faces divisible by 4, eg, 8 or 12) You can also try and clip the top off to make it a bit flatter.

heres a nice little piccy thing i just made:

from there just experiennt and stretch the sides to fit and look nice, but dont try any vertex manipulation on these complex brushes unless your a true pro.

also good for snow mounds, and i used this method heaps in Adrenalin, the famous rubble mound under the crack with the car in it? 1 brush. :D

Too many polies? It is in a corner. Depends on the size of the room. Like a corner in flash or a corner in caen :o

Make sure you don't make the angles of the rubble too much that it causes clipping problems. Test out the heights and angles when you build it, make sure you don't get hung up on it. It's really frustrating getting stuck on piles of rubble that you think you can walk over, but end up getting stuck.

yea, a cone/spike is the easyest way but i wouldnt do 12 faces, only 6 - 8, unless i have some free r_speeds to use.

1 brush - 10 brushes...dont matter.

If there are 10 visable faces than your wpoly count goes up and thats the point really.

Just make sure your rubble is using the appropriate amount of faces for its location in the map.

If its in a house, or that is not visible high traffic areas outside, go nuts.

If its in the middle of your map...think about it carefully.

Too few or too many can look really tacky. Make sure you take a look at the area you're placing the rubble in.
