Ok, here you go kiddies, have fun.

As stated in the WIP, I have split the Wood mesh in to 3 separate textures 2 512x512's and one 256x1024 a vast improvement over a single 256x512. The metal textures have been bumped up to 512x512 each and to top it all off I am using Dillingers Hi-res sleeve textures.

This zip file also contains some extra goodies. namely matching P & W models, as well as the reference smd, QC file and the UV maps for the wood in Bitmap format. so any one looking to mod this doesn’t have to worry about decompiling and messing up the texture alignment.

Grain, i will be very very very greatful if you could zip up the source folder from before the compile and send it to my email - ohad_gefen@yahoo.com.

BTW i must say outstanding work on the textures... wish i could skin like that.

BTW i must say outstanding work on the textures... wish i could skin like that. Why? Just decompile it. If you're worried about texture alignment just replace the reference with the one from the zip. And do the same for the qc file. I don’t mind mailing it to you, is just I don’t see any need.

i noticed that the textures get blurry after a decompile and not as sharp as they were before.

For default anims or sleeves or anything for that matter do the following steps.

1) Make 2 new folders.

2) Decompile a default Garand in to one folder and decompile my Garand in to the other.

3) Copy any default stuff from the default folder to my folder.
( sleaves are names axis_sleave.smd and allies_sleave.smd. anims are named the name of the anim followed by .smd. sleeve textures are named after the sleeve they belong tofollowed by .bmp )

4) Go in to my zip file and copy splitmesh2.smd and the QC file in to my folder
(do this step to preserve texture alignments.)

5) Compile the QC file.
