This is anoying i kep getting this error when i try and compile
Error: Could not open wad file \program files\day of defeat\dod\dod_avalanche.wad
Error: Could not find WAD file
Description: The compile tools could not locate a wad file that the map was referencing.
Howto Fix: Make sure the wad's listed in the level editor actually all exist
Error: Could not open wad file \program files\day of defeat\dod\dod_charlie.wad
Error: Could not open wad file \program files\day of defeat\dod\dod_escape.wad
Error: Could not open wad file \program files\day of defeat\dod\hlbasics.wad
Error: Could not open wad file \program files\day of defeat\dod\halflife.wad
Error: Could not open wad file \program files\day of defeat\dod\dod_donner.wad
The wads obviously exist seeing as how they show up in hammer just fine ffs, anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
Copy all the wads from Day of Defeat folder and put them into directory like this:
c:\wads\
Its solves the problem for you. Command prompt compilers doesnt like long filenames and directories.
That fixed the wad problem now im getting this crap..
