LoL, was checking out the new total conversion packs...it be cool to see a map playing the upcoming Russians and Italians...prob is, did these forces ever fight each other??

Actually they did. Don't quote me on the exact group, but I think it was the Italian 8th army that participated in Barbarosa. There was also a notable cavalry charge where a small group of Italian cavalry defeated a much larger force of Russian infantry(yeah, cavalry charges in WWII, wierd huh?). So yeah, they did fight each other.

Indeed Italian troops did face the Red Army, and they fought as hard as the Germans did. Also, a cavalry attack against Soviet infantry isn't too far fetched, considering their tactics in that period of the war.
