i made some allie low poly player models and im working on the axis alls i need is someone to host it
they are around 300 polys and they fit the hitboxes very well imo

also they have different helmets and faces and bodys (skins)

and the axis im working on have a helmet and a hat...

heres a piccie :D

1 question though do you think i should leave the textures the default size or cut all the textures down in size ?

actually i think they fit the hitboxes almost exactly like the default, the only think that sticksa out alittlemore then the default is the front of the helmet which i could fix in a few minutes.
heres the hitbox screenies:)

i made the axis set :D

anyone even want these ? =P

02-28-2004, 06:36 PM
make legos again :D

03-24-2004, 11:52 AM
I would be instrested in trying them just to see how much FPS i can gain...

I remember back in 3.1 I used some low poly models...(not the lego men ones)...but they were low poly and still looked good and not squaredish :p

03-24-2004, 02:09 PM
i would be all over these if i was still on my POS machine from the 2.1 days

03-25-2004, 05:43 PM
I suddenly wish I hadn't deleted all my DoD files (Except for sounds :p) once my computer could no longer run it...

I had some SWEET very low poly models that still looked normal...or well :p I also miss all my scripts I had written over the years I played...

what was I thinking not ziping my scripts :p
wait I wasn't thinking :p

lmao :p :D

i wasnt going for a nice looking model and to tell you the truth i really dont think they look that odd ingame from a distance you cant even tell

04-02-2004, 10:35 AM
If the only reason I played DoD was because it's pretty, I wouldn't be playing DoD. It's inherently ugly, DarkLite, and nothing anyone does can change that.

Thanks again gabagoo :D

why do people play with such models - doesnt it ruin the whole atmosphere ?

04-02-2004, 12:30 PM
True love of the game.

04-02-2004, 01:41 PM
OK, listen up people. THESE ARE LOW POLY MODELS FOR LOWER GRADE COMPUTERS. People w/ low grade computers/video cards cant even gets DoD to play right. Gab is tryin' to help people out w/ something that will make their computer run a lil' better. These are not "life-like" models, hence the title "LOW POLY MODELS". So get your head out of your @ss and save the stupid comments.

04-02-2004, 02:02 PM
because dumb nubs like darklite dont' know anything about computers and don't know how to read "HIGH PEFORMANCE player models"

04-02-2004, 02:05 PM
And he isnt the only dumb@ss.

04-02-2004, 02:26 PM
I think gaba just woke up some mornin thinking... hey those dod models... lets make them ugly maybe people would like the rough look :P
